Big Insult To a Star Hero Like Venkatesh

Venkatesh, the younger son of legendary producer D Ramanaidu made his debut as a hero with Kaliyuga Pandavulu movie and emerged as one of the four superstars in the Telugu film industry during the late 1980s and 90s. After appearing in action and mass entertainers during the initial stages of his career, Venkatesh had later shifted to family-oriented movies which brought him immense craze among the family audience.

With the heavy influx of young heroes, Venkatesh realized that his stardom is no longer intact and has been doing multistarrer movies with younger heroes and he is successful. The senior had a few releases as a solo hero in the last few years. His movies Drishyam 2 and Narappa were released directly on OTT and received good responses.

With the re-release trend becoming a new craze in Tollywood, Venkatesh’s brother and producer Suresh Babu released the Narappa movie in theatres on Venkatesh’s birthday. However, there was no publicity for the movie and the result was too bad.

Shockingly, the movie has collected just Rs 25 lakhs in AP and Telangana which is definitely shocking news for a star of Venkatesh’s stature.
