With the rise of OTTs, audiences have become accustomed to enjoying content in different languages with the help of subtitles. This trend has introduced an element of risk when it comes to remaking films from other languages. Despite these challenges, some film stars are still venturing into remakes. Take Chiranjeevi, for instance, whose recent movies “God Father” and “Bholaa Shankar” were remakes. While “God Father” managed to achieve decent success, “Bholaa Shankar” unfortunately turned out to be a major disappointment at the box office.
Now, a prominent director known for delivering a hit film for Balakrishna has proposed the idea of a remake to him. However, Balakrishna, being cautious, has put the project on hold. He’s wary of facing the same negative reception that Chiranjeevi’s “Bholaa Shankar” received. Even though the director’s team is denying these claims, rumors are circulating that Balakrishna’s upcoming film, titled “Bhagavanth Kesari,” might be a remake of Harikrishna’s movie “Swamy.” Balakrishna is taking a deliberate approach and has decided to make a decision only after observing the response to his current film’s release.
