The teaser for Nikhil’s movie “Spy” was released recently and has been receiving a positive response. The success of his previous film “Karthikeya 2” is also helping to generate interest in “Spy” in other languages as well. However, it appears that both “Spy” and another upcoming movie share a similar story backdrop, leading to some trouble.
“Spy” revolves around the secrets surrounding Subhash Chandra Bose’s death and follows a spy as they uncover the conspiracies surrounding it. On the other hand, Kalyan Ram’s “Devil” was announced a long time ago and is also said to explore the mystery of Subhash Chandra Bose’s death, with Kalyan Ram portraying a British secret agent.
Since “Spy” is scheduled for release first, it is “Devil” that might face challenges if the stories are indeed similar. When asked about this during the teaser release, Nikhil clarified that the stories of “Devil” and “Spy” are completely different, and the respective directors have already discussed it.
Nikhil assured the audience that they will enjoy both films. He further revealed that “Devil” is set in the 1920s, while “Spy” takes place in the modern-day, offering a contemporary thriller experience. Therefore, the stories of “Devil” and “Spy” are set a hundred years apart. There might be at least one common point between the two films where one predicts it, while the other might prove that it actually happened. We will have to wait and watch both films to discover more.
