Vijay Devarakonda’s brother Anand Devarakonda is getting ready to entertain movie lovers with Pushpaka Vimanam. The film is directed by debutant Damodara and stars Geeta Saini and Shanvi Meghana as female leads. The film is releasing on November 12. Damodara speaking to scribes shared the secrets of Pushpaka Vimanam.
He said “Pushpaka Vimanam indicates a journey; my film also chronicles the journey of a newly-wed guy who was about to jet off to his honeymoon. But then there are some twists that come in his life a month after he gets married.”He said Anand plays the role of a maths teacher and added “And Anand could emulate them exactly. In fact, Anand pulled off the role with élan; he’s very open to ideas and is easy to work with,”
He said he came in touch with Vijay Devarakonda when he was working in IT field in Visakhapatnam and Vijay asked him to work as Assistant Director even before Yevade Subrahmaniam. Damodar however did not show interest and later Vijay’s father Govardhan Rao called him to do a web series. He said it didnot materialise and revealed “But I had already developed the plotline for Pushpaka Vimanam and narrated it to Govardhan sir, and he was instantly hooked to it and asked me to develop it further,”
