Bollywood ace, superstar Akshay Kumar is a hard-worker and loves to take home remuneration in keeping with his commitment. It is heard that he charges anything between Rs 110 to Rs 120 crore per film.
But the latest bit of gossip from Bollywood circles is that Akshay Kumar who has been giving hit after hit after hit, has agreed to slash his remuneration. Well, he is doing it for a long-time friend and associate Sajid Nadiadwala.
It is already known that Akshay Kumar is doing Bachchan Pandey with Sajid Nadiadwala production house. As always, the remuneration was fixed as per Akshay Kumar’s market price.
But thanks to the pandemic and the slowdown in businesses, his friend Sajid Nadiadwala requested him to slash his price. And Akshay contemplated the same and cut down his price.
Now, he will be charging Rs 99 crore for the film. Incidentally, the magic figure was not chosen randomly. In fact, Bollywood insiders say 9 happens to be the lucky number of both Sajid Nadiadwala and Akshay Kumar. Hence the price.
Meanwhile, Akshay has charged Rs 120 crore for ’80s spy thriller Bell Bottom and he has a number of films lined up for production that include Sooryavanshi, Prithviraj, Atrangi Re, Rakshabandhan to name a few.
