Incidentally, the film happens to be the 130th film of Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan is playing the lead role in the film.
A twist that is no longer a surprise is that Sara Ali Khan is playing a double role in the film, a first in her career. Southern superstar Dhanush will be playing the other protagonist. In the past, Dhanush was seen in two Bollywood films.
Sara Ali Khan shared a picture with Akshay Kumar from the sets of the film and wrote, “AtrangiRe becomes more Rangeen! @akshaykumar so privileged, excited and thankful to be working with you!”
The film, if all goes as per plan, will have a world-wise release on Valentine’s Day in 2021.
