The driver and domestic help of Aishwarya Rajnikanth, daughter of superstar Rajinikanth, were arrested by Teynampet police in Chennai for stealing her jewellery. Eswari, the domestic help, had been working with Aishwarya for 18 years and knew where the locker key was kept.
She collided with the driver, Venkatesan, to steal 100 sovereigns of gold, 30 grams of diamond jewellery, and 4 kg of silver. Aishwarya had filed a complaint with the police, naming three of her servants as suspects. Eswari had sold the stolen jewellery to buy a house, and documents related to the purchase of the house were recovered from her residence. The police arrested the duo on Tuesday after interrogation.
