Sunrisers Hyderabad senior pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar was ruled out of the ongoing IPL on Monday with a hamstring injury, which could also end India’s hopes of being part of the tour of Australia later this year.
Bhubaneswar suffered an injury while bowling in the 19th over the clash that took place during the Chennai Super Kings innings on October 2 and came off the field after just one delivery.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar is out of IPL with a thigh muscle injury. It is probably a grade 2 or 3 injury, which could mean that he would be out for at least 6 to 8 weeks. It might effectively rule him out of India’s tour of Australia,” a senior BCCI official told PTI on conditions of anonymity.
His injury will be a huge blow to SRH captain David Warner, who is struggling for quality death bowlers on his side, which is inexperienced.
As a centrally contracted player, Bhubaneswar Rehabilitation will be fully overseen by the BCCI.
