Actress Charmi was once a leading heroine in Tollywood. Though she hails from Punjab, Charmi has learned Telugu, dubbed for her roles, and most surprisingly she even dubbed for Kajal Agarwal’s role in the Chandamama movie. She paired opposite to almost all the leading heroes of Tollywood, but couldn’t hit the top league.
After a series of hits, she did a women-oriented movie Jyothilakshmi and it’s during the making of this movie, that she got closer to the director Puri Jagannadh and they have been traveling together since then. Charmi who bid adieu to movies as an actress is currently busy as a co-producer for Puri Jagannadh’s movies.
The actress who is in her late 30s hasn’t married yet and there’s a rumor that she and Puri Jagannadh are in a live-in-relationship. The reason for remaining single is linked to a popular music director. It’s a known fact that Charmi and the famous Tollywood music director were madly in love with each other and were supposed to get hitched. However, due to some unsaid reasons, both parted ways and both of them are still single.
