The post mortem report was very much similar to the 2012 Nirbhaya gang-rape. Protestors chanted as “Hang the rapists” outside the hospital, when the family members are sat on the protest the cops took away the body without their knowledge.

The cops decided to cremate the body without handing over to the family members. But the family members wanted to do the cremation as per their tradition.

The woman’s body was taken to her village in Hathras, about 200 km from Delhi, after midnight by growing away all the protestors. At 2:30 AM, while most of her family was home, the police cremated the body.

Later Mr. Laxkar denied reports about the absence of the family at the cremation.”We have videos of family members present there. I will be happy to share it with the media. We performed the cremation after the family’s consent. Some members of the family were present at the cremation. The media reports are not true,” he said.

All the four men involved in this gang rape are been charged with a murder case and at present, they are in jail.
