It’s been over 100 years since Indian cinema emerged and has produced several classics and great performers over the decades. However, no Indian cinema and no Indian actor has won the most prestigious ‘Oscars’ to date except for AR Rahman for ‘The Slum Dog Millionaire’.
To everyone’s surprise SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR received a rare recognition from google. Also, the movie got nominated in three categories in the Saturn film awards today. The most popular Hollywood magazine Variety mentioned Jr NTR as one of the possible contenders for the Oscars best actor award in the unranked category.
Though a few movies and few actors were expected to win the coveted award, none could achieve it. Let’s hope NTR wins this most prestigious award as the ‘best actor.
