Tollywood is expanding its wings across the country and ever since the sensation of Baahubali at the international level, even national stars are looking towards T-Town.
Tollywood is well established in Hyderabad and it has been strengthened thanks to legends like NTR,ANR after the formation of new state Andhra Pradesh from the then Madras presidency.
Almost all the Tollywood celebrities hailed from Andhra Pradesh and they established studios and constructed their houses in Hyderabad turning it into Tollywood’s hub. But following the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh into Telangana and Andhra, Telugu people of the coastal and Rayalaseema region felt that they do not own industry of their own.
To assuage their feelings Tollywood celebrities planned to develop Visakhapatnam as another hub for the industry. However politics among the film personalities and also among the ruling TDP and TRS dispensations at that time and ego problems, did not turn their dreams into a reality.
Under these circumstances, with AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy took an initiative and with Tollywood celebrities headed by Chiranjeevi taking initiative, things started moving on a positive note. Stars like Balakrishna may feel leftover but considering Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s status, one cannot help it.
This because though Balakrishna claims Jagan to be his diehard fan,he happens to be the political rival of his brother in law Chandra Babu Naidu and Balakrishna himself is in the same TDP. Balakrishna also may claim that KCR revers his father legend NTR but here too KCR happens to be the political rival of Chandra Babu Naidu. This will have a negative impact on his attempts.
Chiranjeevi’s brother Pawan Kalyan may be in the alliance with BJP and both may oppose Jagan in the state. However, Jagan has good relations with PM Modi and the ruling BJP at the center. To the top of it,Chiranjeevi is not in active politics and he shares good relations with Telangana CM KCR and AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy.
So Chiranjeevi will ensure Tollywood to expand its wings at the international arena from Hyderabad, Telangana and at the same time develop Tollywood to develop and prosper in Visakhapatnam, the same way Lord Hanuman saved Lord Rama and Lakshman from Mahiravan in Ramayan and then carried Ram’s sons’ Lava and Kush on his shoulders. So it is apt to say Mega Star is the Hanuman of Ts and AP’s Tollywood.
