Andhra CM Jagan complains to CJI, accuses SC judge Ramana of bias

Jagan's request to SC Chief Justice against HC judges

YSR Congress party president and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who has called off his shadowboxing with the judiciary, on Saturday launched a massive attack on the state high court, alleging that he was trying to destabilize his government along with a Supreme Court judge.

Jagan wrote a scathing speech to SC Chief Justice SA Bobde, pointing out how the High Court judges were giving biased judgments against his government as per the directions of Justice Ramana and how he was suspending various decisions taken by his government, including the three capitals plan.

“High court judges are filing a series of petitions against government decisions to protect selfish interests in Amravati,” he said.

He alleged that Justice Ramana had influenced the list of High Court judges so that the important issues of policy and defense for Naidu’s interests were that of Justice AV Sesha Sai, Justice M Satyanarayana Murthy, Justice DVS Somayyajulu, and D Ramesh in favor of Justice TDP.

Jagan requested the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court to take appropriate action against the High Court judges who were in favor of NV Ramana and the TDP.
