The film industry is full of uncertainties. Fortunes fluctuate in no time and even the star directors are no exception to it. Director Puri Jagannadh who was once the leading director in Tollywood is going through a lean patch now. The director who delivered some of the biggest blockbusters like ‘Badri’, ‘Idiot’ and ‘Pokiri’ is now a pale shadow of himself.
Puri had pinned all his hopes on his latest outing ‘LIGER’ which had a Pan India release. However, the movie tanked at the box office forcing Puri into another miserable situation. Puri Jagannadh who was longing to make his dream project ‘Jana Gana Mana’ had shot a few scenes with Vijay Deverakonda and Pooja Hegde.
But, the fate of ‘Liger’ forced Vijay Deverakonda to rethink and made him walk out of the project. With Vijay opting out, Puri Jagannadh seems to have decided to approach Ranveer Singh and Vicky Kaushal for the lead role. However, there’s no official confirmation on the same.
