Lagadapati survey: Mahakootami ahead!

Former Congress leader Lagadapati Rajagopal is well known for his authentic surveys and he is out this time with glimpses of his predictions for Telangana polls too. The Ex-MP of Vijayawada said that there are more possibilities of Prajakootami forming the government in Telangana while adding that it depends on the polling percentage.

Rajagopal clarified that the reports published in the media on his predictions were false and baseless. He could not reveal all the details of the survey due to EC’s order. The former Congress leader said that his team has surveyed only in 100 constituencies and that so far the majority is said to be in favour of the alliance.

Earlier, he hinted that eight to ten independent candidates may win from different constituencies which were once under TRS. This has disturbed TRS and the party has officially written to the EC to stop Rajagopal from publishing the survey results, citing the public being influenced.

According to Lagadapati, there are high chances for Prajakootami if at least 60% of polling is recorded. In 2014, Telangana recorded 68.5% polling with TRS winning the election, as predicted by Lagadapati.

“In other cases, there might be a hung with independent candidates playing the cards”, Lagadapati said. It turns interesting on how Congress deals a hung situation as most of the independent candidates are rebels who were suspended by the party.

Though TRS is confident of it winning 100 seats in Telangana, the pace at which Prajakootami gaining the momentum in the last phase is definitely worrying KCR. The survey predicted TRS lead in Warangal, Medak and Nizamabad districts with Prajakootami leading in Khammam, Nalgonda, Adilabad, and Rangareddy districts. A fierce battle is expected in Karimnagar and Mahbubnagar districts between TRS and Congress. AIMIM is predicted to win 7 seats in Hyderabad, which is always a positive for TRS.
