Flood water inundates Sharada temple at Sringeri (gallery)

 

Tunga river water flooded Sharada temple  at  famous Sringeri temple town in Karnataka’s Chikkamagalur district. Sringeri temple town  is in the midst of the thick forests of the Western Ghats. This is one of the four and the most famous Advaitha centres established by Adi Sankaraacharya. It is on the left Bank of the River Tunga about 50 km from Gangamoola, the birth place of the rivers Tunga and the Bhadra.
