It happens to be Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan’s happy birthday today and wishes have been pouring in from all quarters. From political personalities like KCR and Chandra Babu wishing him a long life and prosperity to actors Chiranjeevi and Lakshmi Manchu wishing her ‘anna’ on birthday, social media platforms are full of messages for the CM.
On his birthday, Jagan laid the foundation stone for permanent land rights and land protection programme at Tekkellapadu, in Jaggayyapeta in Krishna district. A pilot project was started in Tekkellapadu for the programme some six months back and land pattas were distributed to the local people by the CM.
In fact, the government of Andhra Pradesh has sought the help of Survey of India to take up comprehensive surveys all over the state. All private and public properties along with agriculture and urban properties will be surveyed during the process.
A survey was held around 100 years back and nothing was done in all these years. Though efforts were made to take up surveys twice in the past, they were stopped mid-way.
The surveys will be held in newly carved Andhra Pradesh for the first time. The idea is to bring an end to land disputes, share officials. The state government is in plans to take up registrations at ward and village secretariat levels once the survey is complete. CM Jagan Mohan Reddy has issued directives to take up registrations at ward and village levels, without waiting for the entire project to be complete.
As a part of the process, a QR-based smart card will be given to the land owners. The programme has been named YSR Jagananna Saswatha Bhu Hakku-Bhu Raksha.
