Akhil AKkineni, the scion of Akkineni clan is yet to prove his mettle as a hero. Despite having all the qualities to be a superstar and his father Nagarjuna taking all measures to promote his son, nothing seems to be working out for him. His latest movie Most Eligible Bachelor was an average grosser and Akhil has pinned all his hopes on the upcoming Agent. The movie has been under production for a long time and there’s no clarity on the exact release date.
As per the sources, Akhil is all set for his next movie after Agent. It’s heard that Akhil might soon replace Allu Arjun in the ICON movie. Director Venu Sri Ram has narrated the script of ICON to Allu Arjun and the when the shoot was about to commence, Allu Arjun has committed to Trivikram’s Ala Vaikuntapuramlo.
Venu Sri Ram went ahead with Pawan Kalyan’s Vakeel Saab and he was hopeful of flooding with offers after the movie was a hit. However, no one approached him and even Allu Arjun kept ICON on hold and went ahead with Pushpa movie. After the massvie success of Pushpa, Allu Arjun seems to be in mood to commit for the movie.
With no hero approaching him and Allu Arjun almost walked out of the project, Venu Sri Ram seems to have narrated the same story to Akhil and he’s given the nod.
