An advanced stage study of Johnson & Johnson’s (J&J) Covid-19 vaccine trials are being developed to control the coronavirus and it has reached the third stage of clinical trials.
In the last month, the company announced that it had already given promising results in two phases. The J&J Phase 3 trial had started recruiting participants in late September, intending to enroll up to 60,000 volunteers across more than 200 sites in the US and around the world.
Recently, the company halted the process of its vaccine trails as one of the people who has been vaccinated become sick and soon they announced the suspension of trials as per safety standards.
“We have temporarily paused further dosing in all our Covid-19 vaccine candidate clinical trials, including the Phase 3 ENSEMBLE trial, due to an unexplained illness in a study participant,” the company said in a statement.
After an in-depth review of the Independent Patient Safety Committee, they resumed their experiments and recently announced that their corona vaccine is working positively with just a single dose. This raises hopes for the vaccine.
