Salman Khan’s Radhe might finally premiere on OTT. The film was supposed to be an Eid 2020 gift for bhaijaan fans across the world. However, due to the pandemic, this had to be postponed. Then his fans hoped that a release date will be announced for 2021, as cinemas have been allowed to operate after the phase-wise lockdown was lifted.
But all hopes of Salman fans have, have been crashed and the latest news from Salman camp is that the film will in all probability premiere on OTT platform. According to sources from within Bollywood, Bhaijaan is in talks with Amazon Prime Video to convert his streaming agreement into premier streaming agreement. If insiders are to be believed, Salman is said to be asking for a price of Rs 170 to 200 crores. However, Amazon Prime is said to be willing to pay about Rs 150 to 160 crore. Even if Salman settles for this price, it is said that he will be pocketing a cool Rs 120 to 130 crore, which will also include his fee as the lead man.
But an extra careful Salman is also said to have held talks with Tata Sky for a pay-per-click option. However, nothing has been finalised as yet. For now, Tata Sky does not have a pay-per-click channel. Similarly, Zee is said to be keen on releasing Radhe on Zeeplex, its new initiative. But no talks have been held between both parties.
Radhe has Disha Patani playing the lead opposite Salman Khan and the film also stars Megha Akash and Randeep Hooda. The film announced in 2019, is being directed by Prabhu Deva.
