Mass Ka Das Vishwak Sen has become one of the highly revered multi-talented young stars of Telugu Cinema. His penchant to challenge himself with different characters has been highly appreciated by audiences and now, he is coming as “Lankala Rathna” in his next Gangs of Godavari.
Now, makers of the film have unveiled a gritty, highly intense and intriguing teaser from the film, on 27th April amidst huge fanfare. Vishwak Sen in this character has transformed himself to the point that it is hard to match his look and attitude with his previous roles.
Each shot of him that has been used in the teaser, tries to tell something about his character either through clever usage of lighting, shadows, darkness or through his body language. The lines written for him and about the area – Lanka, the gangs introduce us to the dark world that this movie is set in.
Vishwak Sen has taken great care to get his Godavari slang perfect to. Mainly, we can notice it in his “Ammoru punesindi ra … Ee rathri ki okkodiki Sivaletthipoddi anthe.” Also, the line, “Nenu manchodno cheddodino naaku teliyadu.. kani manchodni anna chedda peru oddu,” tells about his character clearly.
All other characters talking about how his own men go against him also create high intrigue towards his character, the character’s journey from rags to riches in such a dark and demonic world.
Writer-director Krishna Chaitanya is directing the film and Anith Madhadi is handling cinematography. The dialogues and frames created by both of them in tandem made this teaser even more special. Adding to their efforts, highly popular composer Yuvan Shankar Raja has given fresh, apt and intense background score.
Gangs of Godavari has generated good buzz with the romantic melody song, Suttamla Soosi going viral with over 30 Million views on YouTube. This teaser is definitely going to increase the intrigue about Vishwak Sen’s character, “Lankala Rathna” and his journey.
Beautiful actress Neha Sshetty is playing the leading lady role while renowned actress, Anjali, is playing an important role.
Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas, respectively, are producing the film. Venkat Upputuri and Gopichand Innumuri are co-producing the film and Srikara Studios is presenting it.
Gangs of Godavari is set to release on 17th May, 2024 worldwide.
