Kamal Haasan, who was on a brief sabbatical from movies has come up with an action entertainer Vikram directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj of Khaidi fame. With Vijay Setupathi, Fahad Faasil appearing in crucial roles and Suriya doing a special cameo, expectations went high on this movie. Let’s see whether Kamal Haasan and Lokesh Kanagaraj delivers a hit or not.

Story:

Following a series of killings of the police officers, a black ops cop comes into action to unearth the mystery and catch hold of the masked men who are committing these heinous crimes. Vikram (Kamal Haasan), a retired police officer comes on an important mission. There, he crosses paths with Santhanam (Vijay Sethupathi) and Amar (Fahadh Faasil), who have also entered this world with their own agendas.

Analysis:

Kamal Haasan’s screen presence is limited in the first half and its Vijay Sethupathi who gets the heroic introduction and he steals the show. Fahad Faasil is also impressive in the first half. However, it’s the second half that belongs to Kamal Haasan.

Verdict:

With stellar performances from Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, Fahad Faasil and an important cameo from Suriya, the movie makes an interesting watch for the most part of it. Vikram movie entertains and engages you well, and is definitely worth watching more than once.
