Vijay Deverakonda’s recent birthday saw the announcement of exciting updates on his upcoming films. The actor, known for experimenting with different genres, has reportedly shifted his focus towards soulful dramas, instead of action entertainers, in his quest for a hit. The shooting of his next project under Gowtam Tinnanuri’s direction has recently commenced, while his collaboration with Shiva Nirvana for Kushi has pleasantly surprised many.
Now, news has emerged of a new film with Taxiwala director Rahul Sankrityan, set against the backdrop of Rayalaseema. However, unlike the mid-90s to early 2000s when Rayalaseema was excessively used in Telugu films with movies like Samarasimha Reddy and Indra becoming blockbusters, this new film promises a fresh approach to the genre.
Vijay Deverakonda and Rahul are currently in talks for the project, which will be bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers. After taking a big break post Shyam Singha Roy, Rahul Sankrityan is expected to start working on the film with Vijay Deverakonda by the end of this year.
