Mega Prince Varun Tej is making his Pan India debut with Matka which also marks his most expensive film. The film directed by Karuna Kumar and produced by Dr Vijender Reddy Teegala and Rajani Thalluri under the banners of Vyra Entertainments and SRT Entertainments is being mounted on a grand scale. Currently, production works are being done in Hyderabad.
Today, the makers came up with the movie’s first look poster. It presents Varun Tej in two avatars- a youngster and a middle-aged man. The movie will see the journey of the protagonist for 24 years, and he will be seen in four different get-ups. The first look poster shows two shades of the character from an underdog to an overlord. He emerged as the king of his own territory.
He looks young, dashing, and intense in the down image where he is seen smoking a cigar. His dressing style and hairstyle bring vintage vibes. The other image shows him smoking a cigar in a similar style, but he looks rich and old here with spectacles on and grey hair. There is a gun on his table. The King card from playing cards is used as background. The first look which is highly impressive creates a double impact. Seemingly, Varun Tej is coming back to roles that his fans want to see him in.
Meenakshi Chaudhry and Nora Fatehi are the heroines in the movie set in a period backdrop. A Kishor Kumar, GV Prakash Kumar, and Karthika Srinivas R are taking care of the cinematography, music, and editing departments respectively.
The film will be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.
