The upcoming film Ukku Satyagraham is set to release on November 29 in over 200 theaters. Directed, produced, and led by P. Satya Reddy, the movie carries the slogan “Visakha Ukku Telugu Vari Vahrika” and delves into the resistance against the privatization of Visakhapatnam’s steel industry, highlighting the struggles of displaced locals.
The film also features Gaddar, the late activist and public singer, in one of his final roles, where he not only performs but also sings three powerful songs.
With a strong ensemble cast, including Satya Reddy, ‘Pulsar Bike’ Jhansi, MLA Dharmashree, MVV Satyanarayana, and others, Ukku Satyagraham aims to resonate with audiences through its portrayal of steel plant union leaders, employees, intellectuals, and local residents fighting for justice.
Sri Koti has composed the music, with Menaga Srinu handling the film’s score. The team has dedicated three years to bring this narrative to life, making it a tribute to the enduring spirit of Visakhapatnam’s people.
