Bollywood was ruled and is still being ruled by the Khan trio for the last three decades. While it was Shahrukh Khan who ruled from the mid- 90s to the mid-2000s. Later, it was Salman Khan who dominated with a series of back-to-back blockbusters.
The two Khans last appeared in full-fledged roles in Rakesh Roshan’s super hit movie Karan Arjun and never worked together in full-length roles, though they did special cameos in each other’s movies.
The leading Bollywood production house Yash Raj Films has established a reputation for delivering a series of super hit movies. Salman Khan’s Tiger franchise has been a phenomenal success, with the latest installment set to release this year. Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan made a massive comeback with Pathaan, which is on track to become the biggest hit in Bollywood. The producer of both these films, Aditya Chopra, is now planning a two-hero crossover film featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan in lead roles. The basic plot of the film has been finalized, and work on the script is currently underway.
According to reports, the film will feature a showdown between Tiger and Pathaan, and more exciting updates are expected to be announced soon. Aditya Chopra, along with Shridhar Raghavan, is focusing on the script, and both Salman and Shah Rukh have given their initial approval for the project. This will be their first collaboration since the release of Karan Arjun over three decades ago. Additionally, Shah Rukh will make a cameo appearance in Tiger 3, which stars Salman in the lead role, and Salman made a cameo in Shah Rukh’s recent offering, Pathaan.
