Two of film industry’s most beloved and popular people celebrate their birthdays today. Let’s go with veteran actor having all-India fans, Kamal Haasan. The actor who is known for his films through decades and is much respected for his experimentation will be blowing his candles today adding yet another year to his illustrious life.
Another celebrity who gained pan-India recognition with SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali 1 and 2 is Anushka Shetty. The actress who made an indelible mark in Telugu film industry with films like Arundhati, went on to win the hearts of audiences in Baahubali series. Then came Size Zero and that sort of halted the Anushka’s run at the box-office. In an attempt to make a realistic portrayal of a plus-size girl, she had put on weight and unfortunately for her, she could shed the extra flab easily. She had to take a break and went off to Europe to a spa to get rid of extra kilos. Though she is still in hibernation of sorts, she has had a release in Nishabdam, in which she was cast opposite Madhavan. The film by Kona Venkat failed to entice the audience and Anushka had to be content with a dud.
As for Kamal Haasan, he will launch the teaser of his 232nd film today. The film’s already released poster reads ‘Once upon a time there once lived a ghost’. The film is being produced under Raaj Kamal banner and will be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
