Movie lovers across the country and Bollywood filmmakers for long have been waiting eagerly for Young Rebel Star Prabhas’ straight Bollywood film after the sensation he created with Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali.
However Prabhas who decided to finish his commitments he made to Radhakrishna Kumar and Sujeeth before Baahubali is on the verge of completing those commitments. He did Saaho with Sujeeth and is finishing Radhe Shyam with Radhakrishna Kumar. He is now starring in the direction of Nag Ashwin of Mahanati fame.
In the midst of all this rumours spread that Prabhas would star in a Bollywood film under the direction of Om Raut of Tanahji fame. Finally Prabhas confirmed the project today in style.
Prabhas will be turning Aadi Purush and he according to sources will be seen as Lord Rama in the film based on epic Ramayana. The title poster Aadi Purush with the caption ‘ celebrating the victory of good over eivl’ showed its power. The film will be bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar of T.Series along with Om Raut. Prabhas revealed that he has given 2 months call sheets for the film.
Prabhas shared “I am very excited to portray this character of our epic, especially the way Om has designed it. I am sure the youth of our country will shower all their love in our film.” This marks Prabhas’ Bollywood debut with a straight film.
