Super Star Mahesh Babu enjoys huge fan following among all sections of people. His fan following is increasing across the country though he didnot do a single Hindi film. In the meantime it came out that Kollywood star Ilayadalapati Vijay who has a huge fan following among masses in Tamil Nadu planned to take a risk only for Mahesh Babu but it didnot materialise.
It is known that sometime back Maniratnam planned a multi starrer Ponniyan Selvan with Mahesh Babu and Vijay. However the film didnot take off for some reason though both the stars showed interest. Inside talk is ahead of it, Murugadoss planned a multi starrer with Vijay and Mahesh Babu.
Murugadoss directed Mahesh Babu’s Spyder. He planned to cast Vijay as lead and Mahesh Babu in the negative role in the Tamil version and Mahesh Babu as the lead and Vijay in the negative role in the Tamil version. Vijay gave green signal with the condition that he would do the negative role,only if Mahesh does the lead in the Telugu version. But for some reason it didnot happen and SJ.Surya did the negative role in both the versions.
