Athadu movie remains one of the finest movies in the careers of both Mahesh Babu and Trivikram Srinivas. Though the movie wasn’t a big commercial success in theatres owing to the budget, the movie is a big hit on Television as it received the highest TRP ratings whenever aired on TV.
The movie was a second movie to Trivikram and he approached Pawan Kalyan for the hero’s role, but, Pawan Kalyan wasn’t in a mood to listen to the script, and then he went to Mahesh Babu who immediately accepted it.
The role of Nasseer was initially offered to Shoban Babu, but the senior actor rejected the role as he had already retired from movies. Interestingly, the role of Sonu Sood was initially offered to actor Venu. However, he turned out the offer due to various reasons.
Venu Thottempudi who resumed his acting career with Rama Rao On Duty revealed this matter in a recent interview. Both Venu and Trivikram shared a great bonding since his debut movie Swayamvaram.
