Ravi Teja fans are riding a wave of excitement with continuous updates about the actor’s upcoming film helmed by Harish Shankar. Just today, the movie’s team officially unveiled the title as “Mr. Bachchan.” There have been ongoing speculations suggesting that this Ravi Teja starrer might be a remake of Ajay Devgn’s blockbuster film, Raid.
And those speculations have turned out to be true, as confirmed by Ravi Teja himself. Ajay Devgn took to Twitter to extend his best wishes to the movie’s team, to which Ravi Teja responded by quoting the tweet, saying, “Thank you for the wishes, Ajay Devgn. The team is RAIDing high to begin the journey.” Raid was inspired by the real-life income-tax raid on Indian industrialist Sardar Inder Singh, spanning an unprecedented three days – the longest raid in Indian history.
Harish Shankar has a proven track record with remakes, having recreated the magic of Salman Khan’s Dabangg into the immensely popular Gabbar Singh. While making several changes, Harish managed to retain the essence of the original.
Fans of Ravi Teja are eagerly anticipating that Harish Shankar will once again work his magic with this remake. Bhagyashri Borse, known for Yaariyan 2, will be the female lead, and the film will be produced by People Media Factory.
