Tiger 3 Movie Review

Cast: Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Emraan Hashmi, Revathi, and Simran

Director: Maneesh Sharma

Producer: Aditya Chopra

The film revolves around Tiger (Salman Khan), a RAW agent, and his wife Zoya (Katrina Kaif), who works for ISI. Together, they join forces to thwart the terrorist plans of Aatish (Emraan Hashmi), aiming to expose him to the Pakistani government and prevent a larger impending threat. The film promises high-stakes action, but does it deliver? Let’s explore.

Performances:

Salman Khan as Tiger fits the action hero role well, though the script doesn’t offer much depth beyond the typical RAW agent character. Katrina Kaif’s portrayal of Zoya lacks impact, despite her consistent presence. Shah Rukh Khan’s special cameo as Pathaan adds a grand, large-scale experience to the film.

Analysis:

Directed by Maneesh Sharma, known for films like “Band Baaja Baaraat,” “Tiger 3” starts with an introduction of incidents in London and Pakistan, followed by action sequences introducing Tiger. However, until the interval, the film lacks intensity, with action sequences that fail to keep the audience on the edge of their seats.

The second half introduces new characters, but their roles feel routine. The film gains momentum with the introduction of Pathaan, leading to an engaging action block between Pathaan and Tiger. However, the climax and the sequence leading to it lack thrills and feel like a routine commercial film.

Overall, “Tiger 3” follows a typical spy template but lacks genuine highs in action thrills or visual impact. It stands as the weakest entry in the YRF Spy Universe.

Performances by Others:

Emraan Hashmi’s portrayal of the villain follows his typical acting style, without creating a significant impact. Female character artists like Revathi and Simran fail to leave a lasting impression due to the way their characters are written. Other supporting actors perform adequately in their brief roles.

Music and Other Departments:

The background score by Tanuj Tiku is adequate but lacks the adrenaline-pumping intensity required for an action film. The songs in the film are strictly okay, both visually and audio-wise. Cinematography by Anay Om Goswamy is decent but doesn’t elevate the viewing experience to that of a large-scale production.

Editing by Rameshwar S. Bhagat is acceptable, though some abrupt cuts in character appearances disrupt the flow.

Drawbacks:

Ordinary Action Episodes

Lack of Intensity

No Twists or Thrills

Missing Big-Scale Feel

Dull Screenplay

Verdict:

“Tiger 3 delivers familiar action sequences with Salman Khan’s signature style, but falls short in creating genuine thrills and a compelling narrative. Despite the star-studded cast, including Shah Rukh Khan’s special cameo, the film lacks the intensity and big-scale feel expected from a spy thriller. While certain action moments impress, the overall execution leaves much to be desired, making it a passable entry into the YRF Spy Universe.”
