It’s been over 100 years since Indian cinema was born, but, no film nor any actor from Indian cinema has won the prestigious Oscars. Though some movies were nominated for the Oscars, no movie could win the coveted title.
Of late, the makers of RRR have been pushing hard to get the Oscars in any category for the movie. As per the latest reports, NTR (especially after the BAFTA snub for ‘RRR’), the website of the influential American publication ‘USA Today’ has shortlisted NTR Jr as one of the hottest contenders for the Best Actor Oscar.
The website is hopeful that NTR Jr’s Komaram Bheem performance in ‘RRR’ will not go unnoticed by the Academy when it gets down to vote for the shortlists.
Previously NTR Jr was also mentioned by ‘Variety’ among their unranked predictions for the 2023 Academy Awards, and now ‘USA Today’ has predicted that the Man of the Moment will be among the nominees for Best Actor.
It’s a proven fact that NTR is one of the finest actors of the current generation in Telugu cinema and if he can win the Oscars, that would be a huge achievement for him and Indian cinema.
On the work front, NTR will begin shooting for his upcoming movie directed by Koratala Siva in a few days and this untitled movie will hit the cinemas on April 5, 2024. Apart from this movie, NTR also has NTR31 on the cards which will be directed by Prashanth Neel.
