In 2019, “Yatra,” the biopic of the late Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, created quite a sensation. Now, director Mahi V Raghav is immersed in the making of its sequel, “Yatra 2.” This new installment will focus on the political journey of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, with Tamil actor Jiva taking on the lead role.
The latest buzz in the film industry suggests that Bollywood actor Mahesh Manjrekar has been cast to portray the former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and TDP chief, Chandrababu Naidu. Reports indicate that scenes featuring Mahesh Manjrekar are currently in production. Additionally, the sequel will feature the acclaimed actor Mammootty.
“Yatra 2” is being produced by Shiva Meka under the banners of V Celluloid and Three Autumn Leaves Banner. Santhosh Narayanan is responsible for composing the music, while Madhie is in charge of cinematography. This political drama is set to hit theaters on February 8, 2024.
