The film ‘Chhaava’, starring Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles, is produced by Dinesh Vijan and directed by Laxman Utekar. The film is set to release on February 14. The promotions for this pan-India project are currently in full swing, and the team recently reached Hyderabad for a press meet. Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna attended the event and shared their experiences. Rashmika Mandanna shocked everyone by joining the event in a wheelchair.
At the press meet, Vicky Kaushal shared, “I have prepared both physically and mentally for the film ‘Chhaava’. I have trained in battle tactics and horse riding. But beyond this, the real challenge was embodying the character of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and preparing my mind for that role. Figures like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj are beyond description – warriors of unparalleled valor with greatest character. Laxman has been calling me by the character’s name since the very beginning, instilling in me the belief that I could do justice to this role. It’s an honor to tell the story of a real-life warrior.
I thank Dinesh Vijan for producing this great film and Laxman Garu for his direction. AR Rahman’s music has elevated the film to new heights. I feel incredibly lucky to have been given such a role. This is an opportunity that comes once in a lifetime. The movie has turned out wonderfully, and I’m sure everyone will love it on February 14th.”
Rashmika Mandanna also spoke about her experience, saying, “There is something indescribable and special about the film ‘Chhaava’ – a sense of divinity, endless love. That’s why I was determined to be a part of this film. I find myself crying every time I watch it because it’s so moving. AR Rahman’s music, especially the song ‘Jaane Tu’, is mesmerizing. Vicky has a wonderful aura around him; just being next to him creates magic. He is perfect for the role of Chhaava, and that’s why Laxman Sir cast him. This film will impress everyone.”
