Santosh Sobhan who scored a hit with Ek Mini Katha, is starring in a web series The Baker and The Beauty. The web series started streaming on Aha OTT and let us see what it offered to movie lovers.

The story revolves around three youngsters, a middle-class youngster Vijay (Santosh Sobhan) who is a baker and suffers from an inferiority complex, Mahi (Vishnu Priya) who pressurizes Vijay to turn their live in relation into a marriage, and a film star Aira Vasi Reddy (Tina Shilpa Raj) who suffered a breakup with her boyfriend.

Johnathan Edwards directed the Telugu remake of Israeli hit The Baker and The Beauty. While adding Telugu nativity, he missed the real context of the title Baker in the film. Apart from it, he also failed to highlight other emotions between sister, brother, mother etc. The story is simple and is engaging and to some extent, it worked. However, Johnathan failed to maintain the tempo and the repetitive scenes weakened the screenplay.

Cinematography and BGM elevated the scenes but editing failed to make it sleek. Santosh Sobhan performed well in his role once again Tina Shiparaj is beautiful and did well. Sangeet Sobhan, brother of Santosh Sobhan performed well. Others are ok with their performances.
