Tharun Bhascker’s Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi Humorous Teaser Unveiled, Releasing In Theatres On January 23rd

Talented filmmaker-turned-actor Tharun Bhascker, known for his impressive performances on screen, is stepping into the lead once again in a quirky new project- Om Shanti Shanti Shantihi featuring Eesha Rebba as the female lead. The film, marking the directorial debut of A R Sajeev, promises to be a fun-filled rural comedy laced with authentic humor and relatable drama. It’s being jointly backed by S Originals and Movie Verse Studios, with Srujan Yarabolu, Aditya Pittie, Vivek Krishnani, Anup Chandrasekaran, Sadhik Shaik, and Naveen Sanivarapu producing the venture, while Kishore Jaladi and Bala Sowmitri serve as co-producers. With the entire shoot wrapped up, and the post-production works nearing completion, the team has shifted focus to promotions by unveiling the film’s teaser.

Set against a rustic backdrop, the teaser sets up the core premise of the story. The film revolves around Ambati Omkar Naidu, a wealthy fish trader known for his arrogance and self-centered nature. He marries Kondaveeti Prashanti, a decent and disciplined woman who embodies patience and adjustment. Their contrasting personalities set the stage for a compelling family drama, but as the teaser hints, there’s an unexpected twist waiting in this Kutumba Katha Chitram.

Director A R Sajeev crafts this as a wholesome entertainer filled with offbeat, laugh-out-loud moments. The writing is sharp and humorous, and the narrative feels thoroughly engaging with characters that are instantly relatable. Cinematographer Deepak Yeragara captures the picturesque beauty of the Godavari districts with impressive, eye-pleasing frames, while Jay Krish’s lively score- especially the pulsating theme track- adds to the film’s fun quotient. The production values also appear rich and vibrant.

Tharun Bhascker showcases his acting prowess in a role rooted in a rural backdrop, delivering the right attitude and nuance the character demands. The IPL conversation stands out as a humorous bit that subtly highlights his character’s limited knowledge. Eesha Rebba looks charming as the female lead and carries her role with effortless ease. The teaser also gives a quick glimpse of the supporting characters.

Overall, the teaser looks promising, offering the right dose of entertainment. The makers have also announced a Republic Day weekend release on January 23rd, aiming to make the most of the long-weekend advantage.
