There has been lots of anticipation with regards to Vijay’s film. Thalapathy Vijay as he is called by his fans, are now a happy lot as thalapathy 65 has been confirmed.
There were rumours of Vijay doing the film with Tamil’s popular director Atlee. Vijay also visited his office and had talks. But looks like lady luck did not smile on Atlee and the film did not work out, just like his film with Shah Rukh Khan.
Despite Atlee and Vijay working together in three films, Vijay chose to opt for director Nelson Dilip Kumar. The film will be produced by Sun Pictures. Nelson was also under consideration for the film and he managed to beat Atlee at bagging the film.
A novice in Tamil industry, Nelson Dilip Kumar has Nayanatara’s Kolamavu Kokila to his credit, which he directed in 2018. This year, Nelson will be shooting Doctor with Siva Karthikeyan.
Meanwhile, thalapathy 65 will get on to the sets in 2021. Anirudh has been chosen to provide musical score. The heroine and rest of the cast and crew will be announced soon.
