Unpredictable developments are taking place in the field of press in the background of rapid technological changes around the world. Along with mainstream media, digital media, websites, social media and influencers are playing a vital role in the field of broadcasting and information. However, there are criticisms and arguments that there is a lack of accountability due to rapid changes.
Telugu Film Digital Media Association (TFDMA) has emerged to act as a negotiator for the Telugu film and media sector to control some negative aspects and deliver facts to the target audience in order to ensure accountability in terms of news broadcast and publication. This association has been formed to provide services in addition to the Telugu Film Journalist Association (TFJA), which is already providing services for the welfare of film journalists.
Film celebrities, producers Dil Raju, Damodara Prasad, Prasanna Kumar and others participated as chief guests in this event. Also TFJA Executive Committee Members, President Lakshminarayana, Vice-President Shekar, General Secretary YJ Rambabu, Treasurer Naidu Surendra Kumar, Members Jeevi, VR Madhu and others were present. In this meeting, the first committee of Telugu Film Digital Media Association was announced.
The executive committee of this association has V Prema Malini as president, VSN Murthy as general secretary, Shiv Mallala as treasurer, Nishant N and Rajababu Anumula as vice presidents, B Venugopal and MD Anwar as joint secretaries and 30 members of the executive committee.
Dil Raju said in this meeting, “Film journalists and the film industry are like a family. As always, the support and encouragement given to the TFJA will remain with the newly elected association. He wished the association will make Digital Media provide services aimed at accountability”.
Producer Damodhar Prasad said, “Journalism is called fourth estate in the society. It is advised to present the facts objectively. Needless to say, journalists are a part of the film industry. In an effort to provide fast news in the competitive world, some untruths should not go to the public. We will extend all the needed help to TFDMA”.
Producer Prasanna Kumar said that the film industry and film journalists need to move forward with mutual cooperation. Control over news is necessary in the context of increased breadth and scope of media. If the film industry does well, hundreds of people will get employment. Journalists were asked to work for that effort.
Also in this program YJ Rambabu, Lakshminarayana, Naidu Surendra Kumar, Prema Malini, Murthy, Shiva Mallala, Nishant, Rajababu, Suvarna said that they will take measures to act responsibly and impartially.
