It takes a while to actually remember the film. It was launched a few months back and post that, there was no update. In fact, in October, there was news that the film was shelved.
But the makers have posted new pictures on social media and both Tamannah Bhatia and Satyadev were present at the event. This goes to show, that the movie is indeed on.
Gurtunda Seetakalam happens to be the remake of Kannada hit Love Mocktail. A film falling into musical, romantic genre, it won the hearts of Kannada audiences. Naturally, the idea was immediately lapped by our film-makers and they cast Satyadev and Tamannah in lead roles.
While Satyadev has been a struggling actor, he won accolades with Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya (UMUR). Probably, that was one of the reasons why glam doll Tamannah agreed to do the film in the first place. Also, since the film was a hit in Kannada, she might have considered her options before signing the dotted line.
The film will be directed by Nagasekhar, who is a well-known name in Kannada industry.
Gurtunda Seetakalam traces the love journey of the protagonist. However, both Tamannah and Satyadev have equal roles in the film, it is said.
Of late, audiences are connecting with nostalgic films. So, the makers chose to remake the subject, which will resume shooting soon.
