Hari Hara Veera Mallu Part-1: Sword vs Spirit is a high-budget period action drama set against the backdrop of the 17th century Mughal Empire and stars Pawan Kalyan in the titular role. The film also features a stellar cast including Bobby Deol, Nidhhi Agerwal, Nargis Fakhri, and Nora Fatehi. Directed by Jyothi Krisna and Krish Jagarlamudi, the film is an epic tale of a legendary outlaw, Veera Mallu, who battles injustice and fights for the oppressed.
Renowned producer A.M. Rathnam said, “I share a deep bond with Chennai. I’ve brought several iconic Telugu films to Tamil audiences and vice versa. Notably, the film Indian, which I produced, brought me immense recognition. My passion has always been to create films that not only entertain but also convey meaningful messages. Over 90% of the films I’ve produced have been successful. I must particularly mention my son, Jyothi Krisna. From a young age, he has impressed top directors with his storytelling. He has now taken up the responsibility of the pan-India project Hari Hara Veera Mallu from director Krish and played a key role in shaping it into something remarkable. We’ve worked hard on this film for five years. MM Keeravaani has delivered a phenomenal soundtrack. I extend special thanks to Nidhhi Agerwal, who dedicated five years to this project.”
Music director MM Keeravaani said, “I’ve never seen A.M. Rathnam angry, he always remains calm and smiling. He is a real hero. I’m confident Hari Hara Veera Mallu will be a grand success. When working on a Powerstar Pawan Kalyan film, the music must reflect that same power. Jyothi Krisna gave me immense creative freedom, and he worked tirelessly on this project. I sincerely hope the film brings great recognition to Rathnam garu, Jyothi Krishna, and everyone involved.”
Director Jyothi Krisna said, “Following a suggestion from Ajith sir, I took a step back from direction for a while to carry forward my father’s legacy through production. Pawan Kalyan garu also encouraged me to uphold A.M. Rathnam garu’s name. Pawan Kalyan is not just an actor; he is highly intelligent and excels in various fields, including politics. He has been a huge support throughout this film. He even choreographed the fight for the song ‘Asura Hananam’. Set against the backdrop of the Mughal empire, his role as Veera Mallu represents our culture and heritage, highlighting the essence of Sanatana Dharma. Even when unwell, he continued working with great dedication. The film is technically advanced, with international-level graphics and top-tier production values. The chemistry between Pawan Kalyan and Nidhhi Agerwal is beautifully captured. It has been an honor to work with veterans like Nasser garu and Sathyaraj garu. Collaborating with legends like Keeravaani garu, Thota Tharani garu, and my father Rathnam garu has been a privilege. Hari Hara Veera Mallu will also have a Part 2. I believe this film will exceed expectations and be remembered as one of India’s greatest cinematic achievements.”*
Nidhhi Agerwal expressed, “First and foremost, I thank A.M. Rathnam garu for this opportunity. I’ve never seen a producer so dedicated -always arriving first on set and leaving last. He has carried this film on his shoulders for five years. I truly wish for the film’s grand success for his sake. Working with a director like Jyothi Krishna has been a joy – he effortlessly brings out the best in actors. I feel honored to be part of a film with music composed by MM Keeravaani garu and privileged to work in a film featuring Pawan Kalyan garu. The entire team has poured their heart into making Hari Hara Veera Mallu, and I’m confident the audience will love it.”*
Veteran director K.S. Ravikumar said, “I’ve worked with A.M. Rathnam garu on three films. I was amazed when I heard the story narrated by Jyothi Krishna -his talent and knowledge are remarkable. The promotional material for Hari Hara Veera Mallu is excellent. After five years of hard work, the film has shaped up beautifully. I hope it becomes a huge success and brings well-deserved recognition to Jyothi Krishna and the entire team.”
Veteran actor Nasser said, “Despite numerous challenges, A.M. Rathnam garu remained determined and completed this grand project. Jyothi Krisna is extremely talented and has worked day and night for the film. The result is a collective achievement of the entire team. Working with Pawan Kalyan garu has been a delight. Though he serves the public and holds a position of responsibility, he paid close attention to the dialogues and ensured they carried meaningful messages.”
Veteran actor Sathyaraj said, “Just as MGR is to Tamil Nadu, NTR is to the Telugu states. It’s a proud moment to celebrate this event on the birth anniversary of such a great personality. They say a son surpassing his father is a true success – Jyothi Krisna is one such son. His talent amazed me. I hope the film becomes a huge hit and that Jyothi Krishna rises to great heights. And just for fun, Nidhhi Agerwal is not the only heroine in this film. In fact, I am the heroine because in the film, the hero (Pawan Kalyan) saves me! That’s why I jokingly called my role the heroine’s role. I’m truly honored to be part of such a grand film.”
