Superstar’s Father Makes Controversial Comments On Lokesh Kanagaraj

S.A. Chandrasekhar, father of Tamil Superstar Thalapathy Vijay, recently voiced his critique of director Lokesh Kanagaraj during a movie event. Chandrasekhar expressed concern over the diminishing importance of screenplay in contemporary films. He stressed the importance of a strong storyline for a film’s success, noting that a director’s reliance on a hero’s presence alone does not guarantee greatness.

Chandrasekhar shared an incident where he provided feedback to a director, praising the first half of a film but highlighting issues with the second half. He candidly mentioned that certain elements, such as unrealistic religious beliefs and a father’s intent to kill his own son, needed reconsideration. Although he did not mention names, it was evident he was referring to Lokesh Kanagaraj.

Chandrasekhar urged directors to be open to constructive criticism, emphasizing its potential to improve outcomes. The controversy surrounding Lokesh Kanagaraj’s film “Leo” intensified as the audience echoed Chandrasekhar’s sentiments, particularly criticizing the illogical flashback episode.

In response, Lokesh Kanagaraj and his team defended the film, stating that the entire flashback portion was subjective and not necessarily true. However, this explanation faced backlash from viewers.
