After turning heads with his energetic debut in Mem Famous, Sumanth Prabhas returns with Godari Gattupaina, a colourful and rooted entertainer directed by debutant Subash Chandra under Red Puppet Productions. The film features Nidhi Pradeep as the leading lady, marking her first big-screen outing, while veterans like Jagapathi Babu and Rajeev Kanakala add solid weight to the cast. The makers today unveiled teaser of the movie, introducing the world of Godari Gattupaina.
Set in the heart of the Godavari region, the film captures the spirit of village life through a gang of lively friends fondly called the Oscarrrrr Gang. Sumanth Prabhas plays Raju, a fun-loving youngster whose life takes a turn with Maya (Nidhi Pradeep), sparking a sweet, humorous love story surrounded by warmth, friendship, and festive charm.
The teaser, packed with vibrant visuals and playful moments, beautifully showcases the camaraderie of the friends’ gang and the soulful romance between the leads. Subash Chandra seems to strike the right chord with a mix of humour, love, and emotion, presenting a narrative that feels both fresh and heartwarming. Pravalya is the production designer, while Anil Kumar P is the editor and Nagarjuna Thallapalli is the sound designer.
Sumanth Prabhas brings a natural flair as the carefree Raju, while his comic timing is impressive. Nidhi Pradeep makes an immediate impression, while Jagapathi Babu and Rajeev Kanakala’s presence is a value addition. Sudarshan, Raj Kumar Kasireddy, Viva Raghav and Rohit Krishna Varma are hilarious.
Sai Santhosh’s cinematography brings the Godavari belt to life with striking authenticity, while Naga Vamshi Krishna’s music complements the film’s breezy rural vibe. The production standards are solid for the genre.
