Star director Sukumar attended the pre-release event of the upcoming film “Virupaksha” as the chief guest. The movie stars Sai Dharam Tej and Samyuktha Menon and is produced under the banners of Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra and Sukumar Writings, with Karthik Varma as the director.
During the event, Sukumar revealed how Karthik Varma, the director of “Virupaksha”, had faced critical medical conditions and was given only a few years to live when he approached Sukumar for the movie. Sukumar praised Karthik’s persistence and storytelling skills and expressed his confidence that “Virupaksha” will be a big hit and that Karthik will become a renowned director.
“Virupaksha” is set in the period of 1970-1990s and is a mystical thriller. It is scheduled to release on April 21 in theaters worldwide, in multiple languages. The film marks Sai Dharam Tej’s return to serious roles after his critically acclaimed film “Republic”.
