Director Sukumar and Vijay Deverakonda had announced their collaboration for a love story some time ago. However, recent reports suggest that the project has been shelved, possibly due to internal lobbying or other undisclosed reasons.
Initially, Sukumar had no plans for a sequel to his upcoming film Pushpa and was considering a medium-budget love story with Vijay. However, the success of Pushpa made him change his mind, and he is now planning to direct a big-budget film with Ram Charan as the lead.
Despite creating a buzz in the industry, the Sukumar-Vijay Deverakonda project never took off due to the failure of pre-production work. Fans of the young actor were eagerly waiting for the movie, and the news of its cancellation
left them disappointed.
After the failure of Liger, Vijay Deverakonda is trying to make a strong comeback with some exciting projects in his pipeline. He is currently shooting for the movie Kushi, directed by Shiva Nirvana, alongside Samantha Akkineni.
Vijay has also signed films with directors Gowtham Tinnanuri and Buchibabu Sana. Although the planned collaboration with Sukumar is no longer happening, fans are still eagerly waiting to see what the talented actor has in store for them next.
