Currently, Tamil star Simbu is working on a Tamil-Telugu bilingual titled, Maanadu. After wrapping up its first schedule at Ramoji Film City before lockdown, the film’s shoot resumed recently at Puducherry.
Touted as an intense political drama, the film has Simbu essaying a young politician role. Meanwhile, the latest news is that Tamil Superstar Vijay’s father and senior filmmaker SA Chandrasekhar will be seen as the state Chief Minister in the movie.
Director turned actor SJ Surya is playing the antagonist role in Maanadu. Kalyani Priyadarshan is the female lead in this Venkat Prabhu directional venture.
