India is a country where two professions hold immense significance in the hearts of the people – Cricket and Cinema. It is not uncommon for diehard fans to passionately admire stars and celebrities from these fields. While only a few individuals venture into these two domains, there have been instances in the past where cricketers transitioned into film actors.
Ajay Jadeja and Harbhajan Singh are two notable examples of cricketers who tried their hand at acting in the Indian film industry. Their presence on the silver screen created considerable excitement among their fans.
Now, in a spectacular collision of the worlds of cricket and cinema, the legendary cricketer and former captain, MS Dhoni, is all set to make his debut in the film industry. However, it won’t be a lead role for him. Instead, he will be seen in a special cameo appearance in his maiden production venture, “LGM – Let’s Get Married.”
“LGM” is a feel-good family entertainer directed by debutant Ramesh Thamilmani, who also composed the music for the film. The movie stars Harish Kalyan, Ivana, and Nadiya in lead roles, and revolves around a couple and a mother, portraying their hilarious situations.
Excitement among Dhoni’s fans is already at its peak, as this will mark his first big-screen appearance, should everything go well. Although the news of his cameo hasn’t been officially confirmed, his fans eagerly anticipate witnessing their cricket icon on the big screen.
“LGM” is scheduled to release on July 28th and is produced by Dhoni Entertainment, co-owned by MS Dhoni and his wife Sakshi. Sakshi has also conceptualized the film, making it their first feature film production together.
