Well, we will start off with the good news first. For all Shah Rukh fans around the world, here comes the news that the King Khan has returned to sets. As per sources from Bollywood, Shah Rukh has started shooting for Pathan at the Yash Raj Studios. It is said that the King Khan himself was rather kicked about returning to sets. Apparently, the whole team was also happy seeing SRK back in action.
For all fans of SRK, it has been a period of lull as the King Khan and Baadshah of Bollywood decided to take a break after his last release Zero.
Zero that starred Shah Rukh along with Anushka Shetty and Katrina Kaif was a box-office dud and Shah Rukh was rather dejected by the film’s failure. In the past too, he had lukewarm response at the box-office for his films like Raees, Dear Zindagi, Jab Harry Met Sejal.
So, the King Khan decided to take time off to read scripts that would suit his age and image. Also, he decided to use the time to spend quality time with his family. During this time, Shah Rukh did some commercials and turned brand ambassador for Dubai. He also spent adequate time in Dubai, where he owns a house. In fact, he was in Dubai for his latest birthday, when birthday wishes were flashed on Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in Dubai.
Coming back to Pathan, the action thriller is being directed by Siddharth Anand, who had last directed Hrithik in War. The film also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in the lead. Bhaijaan Salman Khan will be playing a cameo as Tiger in the film, making it huge.
Shah Rukh was spotted with a long mane and sun-glasses at the Yash Raj studio, though his look from the film is not confirmed as yet.
