The makers of Mahanati movie are back with yet another beautiful romantic movie Sita Ramam featuring the beloved Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role with Rashmika Mandanna and Sumanth playing important roles in the movie. Touted to be a poetic love story set in the war backdrop, the movie got released amidst good expectations. Let’s see how the movie fares at the box office.

Story:

The movie’s story begins in London. Afreen (Rashmika Mandanna) was given a letter by her grandfather to make it reach Sita (Mrunal Thakur) and she comes to India to find Sita. The story goes back to the 1960s. Gautham Vasudev Menon, an orphan gets posted in PoK (Pak-occupied Kashmir). He receives letters from Sita (Mrunal Thakur) regularly. After some time, they both meet and fall in love.  However, in an unfortunate incident, Ram who goes to Pakistan on a mission gets nabbed by the Pakistan army. Who helped the Pakistan army in capturing Ram who was on a secret mission? Who is Afreen and what’s Vishnu Sharma’s (Sumanth) role in the movie is the story all about?

Analysis:

Mammootty’s son Dulquer Salmaan has become a heartthrob to the Telugu audience after Mahanati. On the other hand, director Hanu Raghavapudi is known for classic love stories, though some of his previous movies didn’t fare well at the box office, his films are always a treat to watch.

The director who admitted that he has a few flaws said that he overcome all the flaws with this movie and he really meant it. Sita Ramam is a beautifully blended love story with poetic visuals and songs.

Though the first half is a bit slow-paced, the movie gets interesting in the second half and Hanu Raghavapudi finally succeeds in delivering another hit.

 Verdict:

As expected, the movie is a classic love story that will be liked by one and all. A decent watch for the audience of all age groups.
