Heroes and heroines turning into producers and making films has always been a thing. Recently, Samantha has also stepped into the production field as a producer. She produced the film ‘Shubham’ under the direction of Praveen Kandregula under the banner of Tralala Production. Samantha is currently doing web series along with films. She is also busy acting in several international projects. Even with such a busy schedule, she not only produced the film ‘Shubham’ as a producer. She played a key role in it. Let’s see in the review whether this film impressed the audience or not.

As for the story… In Bhimunipatnam village, cable TV operator Srinu (Harshit Reddy) and his two friends (Gavireddy Srinivas, Charan Peri) live a happy life. However, these three wives Srivalli, Farida, and Gayatri (Shriya Kontham, Sravani Lakshmi, and Shalini Kondepudi) are crazy about the Telugu television serial Janmajanmala Bandham. If anyone interrupts the serial while it is being broadcast, they will not hesitate to take their lives. The wives of these friends are attached to the TV serial ‘Janmajanmala Bandham’ that comes on at 9 pm. At that time, if they are disturbed… or do anything else, they behave like they have been possessed by a ghost. However… in that village, along with these three wives, almost the majority of the ladies in that village behave like this at 9 pm. The madness of such wives turns the lives of Srinu and his friends upside down. In such adverse circumstances, they turn to Maya Mata (Samantha Ruth Prabhu), the village witch, for advice.

So what did these three friends do to improve their wives and make the women in the village normal? Did they end up doing good to the people of the village or not? What was the trouble Srinu and his friends faced from their wives? Did the Telugu serial cause unrest in their lives? What advice did Maya Mata give them when they turned to Maya Mata? How did Maya Mata’s advice help them? What was the shock that Dish Kumar in the village gave to Srinu’s group? How did these three overcome that shock? Did Srinu and his friends find a solution to the trouble that had deprived the villagers of peace of mind? The story of Shubham is a comedy and fun story.

Analysis: The story of the film ‘Shubham’, produced by Samantha and produced by her, is not something new. It is not a film that is amazing with great technology. This small funny incident that happens every day in middle-class and lower-middle-class families.. The film tries to tell the story of this small funny incident that happens every day in middle-class and lower-middle-class families.. The film tries to tell the unrest that can arise in the families and the villagers in a very entertaining way. The way the story is told.. The way the characters are designed to tell that story has once again revealed the directorial talent of ‘Sinimabandi’ director Praveen Kandregula. The way the characters of three couples are created in the most natural way.. The way the actors were selected for such roles can be said to have paved the way for the success of this film.

For the last few years, our directors have been making films with the backdrop stories of the 80s and 90s. In this context, director Praveen Kandregula also made the story of ‘Shubham’ in the backdrop of 2004. He showed how cable TV became a part of every home at that time.. and how the popularity of cable TV faded with the arrival of DTH entry in competition with it. Especially without showing the year.. In Shankar Dada Zindabad, Gudumba Shankar, Nuvvu Ika Nenu Lenu, and Shubham Katha, he showed the issue of giving equal importance to women who are half of the sky, especially the husband and wife. He chose a TV serial for it. In it, how the separated wife and husband met again. So when the TV serial came on at 9 o’clock, everyone in the village would cling to it like someone possessed by a demon. He tried to create comedy with scenes like creating a lot of trouble if they were disturbed at that time.

He also showed the message in this film that instead of treating the household as if they were kitchen rabbits, they should be given enough respect and their self-respect should be protected. Moreover, most women want a happy ending in any matter. The director has shown the same point with great entertainment in this film. He has tried to scare the audience here and there. We are not mentioning the main point in this film here. If we mention it, the thrill of the audience watching the movie in the theater will be gone. It will be fun while watching it on the screen. Overall, it is a special achievement for Samantha to produce a film that gives a good message to women in her first attempt as a producer.

How did the actors do it… At a time when it was difficult to watch movies with star heroes for two hours.. three couples on the screen without any face-to-face contact.. six actors made us sit in our seats for two hours with their performance. Not only did they make us laugh, but they also made us emotional in some scenes. They acted in a way that reminded us of the family members around us in our family. Harshit Reddy, Gavireddy Srinivas, Charan Peri, Shriya Kontham, Sravani Lakshmi, Shalini Kondepudi, Vamsidhar Goud impressed with their acting. Samantha, who appeared in guest roles, became a special attraction for this movie. In the remaining roles, they all did justice to their characters.

Coming to the technical aspects… Clinton Cerezo’s songs are contextually good. Director Vivek Sagar’s background score makes the film lively. Mridul Sen’s cinematography is good in showing the scenes naturally. Dharmendra Kakarala used his scissors in the right way. The production values followed by the True La La production team are good. Samantha not only impressed with her first film as a producer, but also showed once again what her love and passion for cinema is. The way the television serial that goes by the name of Palu Neela Bandham.. Janma Janma Bandham became a strength for the film. The way the problem was established in the first half.. The introduction of the characters.. The things that showed their attitude and behavior made the story immersive.

Praveen, who led the story on the right track in the first half.. completely faltered in the second half. There were many errors in the script. It seems that the Cinemabandi team was dragged into the film to cover them up and did a great job. The production values are good. Director Praveen Kandregula’s direction is good. RR is outstanding. The makeup man and costume work design are good. The cinematography reflects the era. Overall, the actors’ performances, the director’s talent, and the vision are plus points for this film. The story is stretched in the second half. Except for some confusion in the script.. everything else is perfect. This film is a two-hour entertaining film with middle-class family elements. You can enjoy this film happily without the need for logic or expectations.
